I want to start by apologizing for being MIA the past few weeks. I caught a nasty cold that literally knocked me out for a day, then Christmas came…then pink eye…well eyeS. Yeah I caught pink-eye ON Christmas! If you know what that is, then you know my pain. Swollen shut eyes, itchy and crusty discharge, and hours spent at urgent care just to get a prescription. If you follow me on IG or Snapchat, you probably saw the grotesque Quasimodo of a face I’ve been rocking for the past 3 days. I finally got my vision back 2 days ago with the help of medicated eye drops. Excuse the shotty lighting, the sun was playing hide-and-seek. Well, don’t mime me, lets get to the outfit!
So you know how I made a wish list based off Wynona Ryder’s character in Heathers? Well I was speechless when I finally got a chance to have a skirt like hers! I decided to think outside of the box with this outfit. There are no words to describe how hard it is to wear skirts in the winter. However, this cute suspender skirt is to MIME for! Since it’s a fairly plain looking, I can layer with it and make it comfortable to wear this MIME of the year. Ok ok, enough charades.
I really do love this skirt, the only downside…no pockets. I only ask for two things in a skirt: 1. You have to be long enough to cover all my junk-in-the-trunk and 2. You need to have POCKETS! That is the ooooonly beef I have with this skirt, but otherwise it’s super cute! It’s a very modest mid-calf length and 100% polyester, perfect for cold fall/winter days. I think if you are feeling frugal as well and want to style it in a different way, you can probably tuck the suspenders into the waistband then add a bright colored belt and… BAM! One skirt styled 2 ways! Always thinking frugally and creatively I am!
